Missing her Daddy!

Audrey is such a little daddy's girl. Owen left for L.A. for a job interview today and will be gone for 1 week. Tonight we were cleaning up the living room and we were listening to Tim Mcgraw, "My Little Girl." (Just a random song on my playlist.) She has been in tears ever since. She said, "Mom, stop playing all these sad songs. It makes me think of Daddy, and I really miss him!" SHe was sobbing for quite a while. And he has only been gone for 3 hours! He calls Audrey "Sweetness".

What my family does when I'm at work

Bed Time Ritual

Every night before bed, we have the same bed time ritual. We sing Twinkle Twinkle, ABC'S, and I am a Child of God. Drew is getting pretty good at the words--he's even better now--this was a couple of months ago.

Pics from our actual snow last week.

Yes, we actually got snow last week, and it was the kind of snow you could actually pack and play in. Schools were cancelled, and Owen came home early because all of his patients had cancelled. We decided to take the kids sledding for the first time. Why have we never been before? We always thought the kids were too little--and from the video below of Drew, it confirmed that decision. The girls had a blast though!

Cold Drew

Now I know why we haven't done too much sledding in the past years. I think it's just too much for a little 2 year old. He wasn't crazy about sledding, nor was he crazy about his cold hands and bum.

To eat wheat, or not to eat wheat -that is the question?

Drew...oh the joy's of having multiple food allergies. November 2006--diagnosed with food allergies to wheat, soy, milk, eggs, nuts, barley, and sesame--let's just say it's been a stressful year! But good news! Drew had his wheat challenge last week, and passed! This opens up a whole new variety of foods for Drew. Things you may take for granted that Drew now enjoys--cheerios, ritz crackers, triscuits, wheat thins and his favorite honey on wheat bread. His Dr. is hopeful that he will outgrow milk, eggs and soy within 2-3 years. We are up for a barley and sesame challenge within the next couple of weeks.
