21 Day Body Cleanse

Owen and I started the 21 day body cleanse yesterday. We will be refraining from caffeine, (hard for Owen, not so much for me) animal products--this includes dairy, gluten, and sugar-my weakness. Yes, this is going to be a challenge for us. Owen and I have really slacked off this year. I think the added stress has really taken over our lives and so we're committing ourselves to better health. Yesterday wasn't too bad, and I actually felt that I had a lot more energy. --I did have a massive headache around 11, but I think it is my body detoxing itself from sugar. Amazing enough, I weighed myself yesterday and this morning and I already lost 5 pounds. Water I'm sure though. The reason we're doing this is to have a more healthy lifestyle, so we'll see if we make it and see if it changes us for good. Plus, I'm so tired of busting my butt at the gym and having no results. I had to ask my friend Sarah for some vegan recipes since cooking meat free is new to me. I'll keep posting our progress.

Is it that time already?

It's hard to believe that it's been a year since we graduated. So now it's May again, and time for the class of 2008 to move on. On Sunday we had Mother's day dinner with our friends the Newells. They will be graduating and moving to Alaska!!! So, like our friends the Harrs who moved there 3 years ago, and haven't seen them since, that will probably be the case with the Newells also. We love the Newells! We've enjoyed hanging out, camping, and Thanksgiving in NYC! I have to say that even though I"m a good 10 years older than Robyn, we have still managed to get along so well. Robyn is very loyal, and she's definitely the kind of person you want to be friends with. She'll never turn her back on you. Not to mention, I'm impressed with her continuous efforts to share the gospel! We will really miss you guys and hopefully we can go on a cruise or something fun like that together!

Carter and Maggie: Where do we begin? From the moment they were 3, they were holding hands and talking about marriage. Maggie has always been a few inches taller, but that didn't stop their friendship. Oh, they've had their moments--a very quarrels in the back seat on the way to school. They really enjoyed being in the same kindergarten class last year. They don't talk about marriage anymore, but they are pretty good friends!

Tag on Audrey!

Audrey was tagged by her friend Austin in Alaska! Here are a few tidbits about Audrey

She's a lefty.

Her favorite food is cheese--string cheese is her best!

She's all girl! Loves dresses, barbies, Polly's and the color pink!

She is very sensitive! She is concerned about others feelings, and gets her feelings hurt very easily. Let's just say there are a lot of tears shed between my 2 girls!

Loves to dance. She took ballet last year and wasn't that crazy about it, but I honestly think she has the potential to do very well. She's got rhythm and is great on her toes. She really wants to do gymnastics, so we may start that this year.

Loves Mom and Dad and is always up for a good snuggle.

Really good and very lucky at games. Maggie thinks it's so unfair that she wins all the time and she doesn't even know what she's doing half the time.

She's very naughty when it comes to bedtime. She gets up at least 10 times after we put her to bed, and I've threatened to put a lock on her door, but it really freaks her out.

Her favorite song is "Tainted Love"--I really need to get that on film when she sings when noone is watching.

She cut her hair about a year and a half ago, and it is really starting to come in nice. Her ultimate goal is to have hair like Rapunzel.

Loves Cartoons, and I mean LOVES!!! She would watch them all day if I let her. 2 of her favs are Tom and Jerry and Charlie and Lola.

She will be five in a couple of weeks, and then she'll be off to kinergarten!

We think she's pretty dang cute! So does the rest of the world--she gets nothing but compliments everywhere she goes. The most common --"Dad, you're going to have buy 3 tickets to the movies when she goes out on a date."

Audrey tags Emma Griffits, Sally Bruderer, Ashley Cannon, Maggie Sanders, Avery Albrechtsen, Xander Smith, Brigg Taylor, Olivia Bitner, Julianna Elkins, Abby Ward and Levi Mitchell--(Staci--maybe this will get you blogging!)

Say What?

Saw this on a friends blog. When she went to China, all the little toddlers looked like this. Yes, that's a poop hole. Getting ready to potty train Drew, and I'm not quite sure that is the way to go, but hey, for some people it works!
