Sweet Miles

I just love this sweet little babe of mine. Weighing 14 lb 2 oz at 6 weeks is pretty healthy if I say so myself!

good food and good friends

I can't believe I almost forgot to post this pic of an awesome lunch date I had a couple of weeks ago! My dear friends from Philly all happened to be in town on the same day, so we had an awesome lunch at my favorite restaurant The Cheesecake Factory, and an awesome visit with good friends. I haven't seen Deb or Alyssa since they moved from Philly 3 years ago, so it was great to play catch up. Miles is 5 weeks!

I can't believe my sweet little Miles is 5 weeks old. The time has flown by and he has gotten so much bigger. I'm going to miss this stage, but I must say it's wearing on me a bit. I think when i move to Vegas in 2 weeks to be with Owen again, it may be a little easier. I'm exhausted trying to juggle 4 kids by myself, and having a newborn does confine you to one spot--that is the couch for me--I am ALWAYS on the couch nursing. It never ends. I should enjoy the fact that I am forced to rest and snuggle with him, but it is hard when you have 3 demanding children at your feet. We have really loved having Miles in our home, and his little personality is starting to come out with little smiles here and there. We sure do love this little guy!

I just love these little feet of his!

Back to the Books!--Are we nuts or what???

Times up! Back to school for Owen. He started his Pediatric dental residency on the 1st. 2 years to go and THEN we will officially be done--can't wait!
Had to break down and get him some new wheels to get to and fro--of course a Ford Focas isn't exactly what he had in mind, but then I reminded him that this whole back to school thing was his idea and if anyones getting some sweet wheels, that would be me-- in 2 years that is.
The Saturday before the 4th, the kids participated in the annual childrens parade down center street. They decorated their bikes and rode them down the street with the rest of Provo city--this was an event that i did as a kid--except that it wasn't as crowded.--This city I live in is getting a little out of control!

Happy 4th!

Better late than never!--Life is crazy for me!
Drew enjoyed waving to all the parade entries
The Provo Parade has always been a family tradition for us. We love it, even if we have to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve us a spot to watch it.
Another tradition is the Balloon festival at Fox Field--it's so fun to watch them fill up 20 or so balloons and then watch them take off. Unfortunately, it's become way too crowded--this city isn't big enough for everyone that wants to live here.

How could I not post about the death of Michael Jackson. I was telling my kids about how huge he was. Maggie said, "you mean he was fat?" I chuckled. On demand we found a special section dedicated to Michael and you could sing all his songs karoke, and then you could watch all of his music videos--the kids wanted to watch Thriller over and over again, and Drew especially loved the "Bad" video. After it was over, he was dancing through the house saying over and over "I'm Bad!"
