So far, so good

I am now 21 weeks, and had my ultrasound on Monday. I have to admit that I was a little nervous. Over the Christmas holiday, when visiting Owen's family, i had a pretty bad case of asthma. My OB assured me that taking Drew's albuterol inhaler was safe, but after we went home, I looked at the counter, and realized that I'd had 90 inhalations. I did a little research on Albuterol and then found out it was in the pregnancy category C which really isn't safe and has been known to cause cleft palate and cleft lip in mice. So, of course i have been freaking out, but tried to reassure myself that i was given the green light, plus I was in the second trimester.--but you still worry, because you never know.
Our babe seems to be growing great and there were no known abnormalities that they could detect. All of the organs and bones were developing and growing normally. Our little one was in the worst position, so i wasn't able to really get any good pictures. It was face down with it's hands over it's face and it's legs crossed. SO even though we weren't going to find out the sex, there was pretty much no chance of giving in.
I just feel so blessed! I often found myself feeling selfish for praying to my Heavenly Father and asking him to bless me with a healthy child when I knew there were so many children born with abnormalities. I just really feel like Heavenly Father knows me and knows what I can handle.
This is the only pic of me that I'm exposing. I am getting mass, so sorry, this is it!

Go Cougs!

Growing up in Provo, Ut., we went to the BYU basketball games frequently, and I remember having such a fun time as a kid. So, I had to take the opportunity to take the kids this last weekend. Owen was in town and his mom came along too. Unfortunately, Drew had a fever, and wasn't feeling too hot, so he stayed home with grandma, but the girls seemed to really have a great time. It helped that our seats were right next to the student section, so we got plenty of band/cheerleader action. Yes, Maggie is in red. I tried to get her to take her jacket off because she needed to be true blue for BYU, but Owen's mom said it didn't matter--i'm sorry,... but it does!!!!! Way to go Cougars for beating San Diego State!

Where have we been?

I don't know why things are all out of order--so read down a couple of posts to get the scoop on the last month.(New Years and Christmas)
A fabulous New Years Breakfast with the Sanders Fam!
New Years day trip to the Nature Center--fabulous weather!
Like Oma like granddaughter--both of them are completely addicted to the Nintendo DS.
The worst part of my trip--cute little Lex the cat--BAD DANDER!

New Years 09

Here are a few pics from our oh so exciting New years. We ate, played monopoly and banged pans--can't get anymore exciting than that!
Owen and his brother Alex cooked us Moroccan food
Audrey was a little helper in the kitchen
Maggie banging her ever so large pizza pan
This is how Audrey brought in the New year!
Drew had the same idea!

Christmas and New Years in Review

Man, I have been such a slacker! This is just not like me to not blog--it has been a little crazy I guess though, so I do have an excuse. This year we ventured off to So. Cal for Christmas with Owen's family. We enjoyed A LOT of eating out at awesome resturants, fun parties, a trip to the Happiest place on earth--(note to self--never ever go to Disneyland over the Christmas break--there was an estimated 70,000 people there that day, and we had at least an hour wait for each ride.) a trip to Owen's office for a little teeth cleaning and a temp crown for me, a visit to the American Girl store--Thanks Oma for the cute outfits for Kit and Ruthie, and of course, the best 70 degree weather!--When we came home, I guess it had been snowing quite a bit and we couldn't even get onto our street. We were slipping and sliding and our neighbors down the road had to push us put. WELCOME HOME!!! That's what i was thinking. I hardly took any pictures--i guess I was living in the moment. Here a a few from our nice 2 week vacation!

The girls in their new Horsey jammies awaiting Santa's arrival

Owen with his new Belgian Waffle maker(been wanting a nice one for years) and Oma with her new stock pot.

Maggie already addicted to her new game for her DS--Audrey on the other hand was pooped!

Oma and Maggie having a little Mario Kart compitition on the Wii--big hit this year!

This was probably the only pic I took at Disney--Owen and Drew waiting forever in line for It's a Small World."---which Drew loved by the way!
