Happy Birthday to Me!

So I celebrated another one. Where does the time go? And if you missed my birthday, well , it's too late--don't try and give me one of those sorry i missed your birthday calls--maybe you'll repent and remember next year--it was September 30th. The older you get, the less exciting birthdays are. I think the kids were more excited than I was. They awoke me with lots of screaming yelling "wake up, it's your birthday!" After church I made my birthday cake--special recipe from my friend Jordan. German Chocolate Cake--from scratch. ALthough, it didn't turn out near as good as Jordans. Our home teacher came over for the first time and spent 2 hours talking about nothing. We didn't have a message, a prayer, and I don't think he knows anything about us. SO it was a little annoying--ok so it was really annoying! How many hints do you have to give to let someone know it's time to go!!!!
All in out, it was a fantastic birthday because I was able to spend it with Owen and the kids.

Happy Birthday Holly! I know what you mean, birthdays just aren't the same after you have kids and start feeling old! That cake looks delicious.

Well, can I at least wish you a happy birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDY to you and me! TODAY is my birthday, although not a soul knows it except for my husband and my immediate family... and perhaps someone I don't know who is reading this. Nice that you made your own cake. I'm cleaning my basement.

Happy Be-lated birthday. Sounds like you had lots of fun and the cake looks really yummy. I love how you said "I made my birthday cake"! Moms...we do it all!

I agree with Katie, I giggled when I read you made your own cake. Sometimes if you want something the right way, you just have to do it yourself. Although, isn't Owen supposed to be pretty crafty in the kitchen? We used to have a home teacher in Denver that would stay for hours too, so I feel your pain! Happy Birthday!

I was one of the be-lated birthday callers - did you post that for me? :) At least I called before I had read this post. Oh, and it looks like your Conference weekend was very fun - we had a good time too - finally watching it on TV again, but our kids had the flu, so that wasn't so fun.

Sorry Holly...you never signed up on my birthday reminder email. I would never remember birthdays without it...especially since Ash has 10 siblings! Happy Birthday anyway!
