Car accident
So, it's not serious, but last night as I was pulling into work, some young kid rear ended me, and scuffed up my bumper pretty bad. He immedietly came to me and begged me not to call the cops, and wanted to see if we could work this out without invoving the police. I honestly didn't know what to do since I've never been in an accident before. After calling Owen and my insurance company, I decided to call the cops to protect myself. I felt bad for the guy, but I don't trust people, and knowing my luck, he would have given me wrong info. So, after waiting and hour and a half, the police finally showed up, and after they reviewed our info, 3 other cop cars came speeding up to the site, and hancuffed and arrested the guy. Apparantly, there was a warrant out for his arrest--4 counts of armed robery the night before. (I guess he didn't know he'd been caught) I got to thinking that he could have blown my head off while I was waiting for the police to come. BUt now I'm a little worried that he's going to send someone to come get me--after all, if I hadn't called to cops, he wouldn't have been arrested. So.....now I have a jacked up bumper, and unless my insurance takes care of it, it's going to be repaired at my expense. I highly doubt he's going to give me the money--oh, he didn't have car insurance either. Isn't life great?

Whoa! It is still good that you called the cops because otherwise you'd still be paying for your own repair and another criminal would still be at large!
Sorry friend! Thank heavens you weren't hurt, in the accident, or by him. It's kinda weird though, that he hung around there while you were waiting for the cops...but that's just bad luck...sorry you have to deal with it.
Bad bad luck. I am glad you are okay. That is so crazy...I guess you can't trust anybody.
Scary. You were smart to call the cops...I would have been like you and not known what to do. I am glad that you are okay! :-)
Do you guys know where you are going yet? I am sure you are tired of that question so sorry if you are getting asked alot.
Oh my! I'm so glad you're okay! That's really kind of scary and I hope that you get money for your car... but most of all, just glad you're safe and that the situation last night was only what it was!
I'm surprised he didn't blow your head off too! We had a run in with a taxi driver while we were in Philly who tried to blaim the accident on us later on even though it was all in the police report. If you got injured then you'd really have a case. My insurance company kept asking me if I was injured, hoping I would change my mind and say yes, because it would make it a lot easier to go after the offender.
That is so scary!
Oh Holly! I'm glad you're okay! So sorry--what a mess!
Of course you can add our blog! I'm so glad we found each other - can't believe how grown up and adorable your kids are! Keep in touch.

I'm so sorry! That really bites! You are very lucky he didn't go ballistic on you. The person without insurance & wanted by the police has to be the one to hit you! Rotten luck...I hope you get the money.
That sounds like something that would happen in Philly not Allentown. I can't believe the guy waited around for the cops. NOT a very bright criminal.
