Yes, My babe is 8! Where has the time gone??? We actually just had a 3 day festival in honor of Maggie's 8th birthday on the 9th. Why 3 days? Well, Owen and his mom came this weekend and since they were flying out on Monday back to L.A., we kind of had to do a lot of the celebrating before her birthday. Saturday was the friend birthday party where we took 5 friends minature golfing--much less stressful for me--I don't really like to entertain a bunch of kids at my house, so this was a great alternative. That night, we celebrated with dinner at Red Lobster--Maggie loves seafood. On Sunday, we had the birthday dinner at home with another cake, and presents from grandparents.. And on Monday which was her actual birthday, she had treats at school, more presents at home and dinner at Fuddruckers. Man, am I wiped out and broke! Maggie has been talking about her 8th birthday since March 10th of last year, so far so good, we haven't heard of birthday #9 yet. We will have another celebration on the 28th of this month when she is Baptized! We love our little Mags!
The Big Day--March 9th on her way to school
A special friend from Alaska dropped in for her party (Carter Newell--yes, they are the same age)
Her friend party from left to right Audrey, Madeline, Maggie, Hannah, Renee,& Alexa--You have to enlarge this one to see how cute these little girls are!
The traditional Candy bar poster from Drew and Audrey--this is always a big hit!
Maggie with all her loot--she was thrilled--her favorites were her new games for her DS and the Mama Mia soundtack

Happy Birthday Maggs!!! Sounds like you had a great one.
Happy Birthday to Maggie! So, is she freakishly tall or is her Alaskan friend short?
she is tall, but not freakishly--her little friend is a little guy
I was going to ask if Maggie was tall for her age...but then I also know how short poor little carter is. Looks like alot of fun celebrating. Tell her happy birthday from us. My calling in the stake primary is to be in charge of the eight year old baptisms and I love it. I love to work with these sweet kids that are so eager to please. What a fun and special day that will be for her!
BTW: I love the cute little sayings from Drew and Audrey. Kids say the cutest things!
Oh my goodness, you have an 8 year old. How crazy? I bet she is so excited about getting baptised later in the month. She is such a pretty little lady and from what you said on your comment on my blog, very curious as well. My kids come up with some stuff as well. I am due April 2nd, but they are suppose to induce on the 26th when I am 39 weeks. My mom flies in on the 25th and will get in at like 1am so she is going to be exhausted!!! We are excited, but time has kinda stopped all together so the next week and half will be VERY SLOW!!!
Wow, Maggie did make out good on her birthday! 8 is a good one to celebrate for three days! :) I love the picture of her and Carter she is double his size, poor boy!
I was trying to comment on your blog the other day and Weston turned the computer off...so anyway...Maggie's 8! I can't believe that she is going to be baptized soon. And I really can't believe that picture of her and Carter N. What cute friends and such looks like such a great party!
happy birthday! My mom used to make us those candy cards and we always loved them too...I'd forgotten about them. What a cute idea!
