Piece of CRAAAAAAAAP!
Many of you know that I loathe my Mazda MPV mini van. Hated it 1 month after we brought it home and had to put 1000 big ones into it. ANd since then, thousands of dollars more, 2 hit and runs and 1 accident in ALlentown where the guy hit me, and when the cops showed up, they arrested him for armed robbery that he did the night before. Needless to say, I didn't get any insurance money for that one, and so my bumber has been tweeked since. So...when we drove to Utah for Christmas it was not a comfortable ride. We have really outgrown this car, but i was trying to make it last until next year when Owen graduates and I can get my Land Cruiser. (payback for all the school he's put me through.) So, we are now in Long Beach for the New year, and right as we were about to leave, the transmission went out and it would cost 2300 bones to fix it. The car isn't even worth that! So, we rented a car, and now we have to figure out what to do car wise for me. I don't think I'm getting my Land Cruiser.

Oh no! I hate car trouble. Rod's car has been sitting dead in our driveway for the last month. We still haven't decided what to do with it.
Maybe your mother in law will surprise you with a lemon--on your birthday--that you get to pay for--it's super fun.
So sad! I do remember you hating right after you got it. My transmission just went out on my Expedititon (we were pulling trailors that we shouldn't have). It was $3500!!! But that is cheaper for us than getting a new car. Plus I love my Expedition. I think if we ever upgrade I will go for an Expedition EL. Good luck with the car hunting and still go for that Land Rover when he graduates...you deserve it!!!
We are also in the process of getting our transmission fixed! What a small world...all of us having the same kind of trouble at the same time. Anyway, it's not fun. Good luck in finding a new car - keep us posted.
sorry...that totally stinks! i'm sure owen will get you that land cruiser eventually!!!
That is the pits! But really, isn't it kinof nice to HAVE TO say good by to the van?!? The Land Cruiser is definitely still in the future! It has 4-wheel drive - great for Alaska roads! :)
