Terrible Two's!!!!!!

So my sweet little Drew is 18 months now and is not so sweet anymore. He has officially hit the terrible two's--at 18 months that is. Yesterday we were at Target, and my Dad called. So as I'm trying to talk on the phone, I decided to let Drew out to play with the toys. Well, that would be mistake #1. He grabbed two bouncy balls and threw them and then would chase them and do it all over again. Well, it was getting a little out of control, and I was starting to get dirty looks from the Target team members. SO I ended my call and put Drew back in the cart. He was fuming mad and did not want to leave. He had a full on screaming bloody murder temper tantrum. It was time to go, and as we left and lady walked passed me and said, "Good Glory --(I don't think it was quite that nice) Can't you control your children?" Don't you LOVE people like that? I yelled back to her, "I guess you've never had children!" I usually just turn the other cheek, but....had she walked back, I probably would have had a few things to say. I can see her side though. Before I had children I used to wonder why people couldn't control their children, and now that I have 3, and have had my share of tantrums in public places--well, let's just say been there!

I can't believe that lady said that to you. Anyone with kids can understand you don't choose when they have fits. i mean come on what mom in their right mind would say "okay kids where in public and I am trying to get some shopping done...its time to Freak out"

The nerve of some people! You have to kill 'em with kindness... just smile and say "I sure hope you're having a better day than I am!" That really shuts people up and hopefully makes them have a little more sympathy. All moms can relate!

We've all been there...I was just last week with Hunter! It is hard to turn the other cheek...sometimes you just have to say something back. You are a wonderful mother!

I can't believe that she said that to you! Tayb hasn't quite figured out the tantrum thing...yet but it's close, I can feel it. :D
