1 last trip to the Big Apple!
I HEART NYC! Absolutely LOVE it! Owen and I have had many discussions about wanting to live in NYC. It has been so fun to live so close. We have taken many trips there, some of which have been just myself without Owen. Took a girls overnight trip my second year and saw Phantom and had a fabulous time! Had another girls trip and went to the Martha Stewart show which she gave camcorders to the audience! Came with my buddy Cari, and my mom. Went with the Coombs, Coxes, and Newells and stayed overnight for a Thanksgiving weekend. (rained a lot!) Our first trip was when they had the open house for the Manhatten Temple. Needless to say, we are going to miss NYC so much! I told Owen next time we come, we'll be able to enjoy the city not as students and we'll actually have money to do all the stuff we could never afford as students--like stay at the Plaza!
Everytime I've been to NYC, I've endured rain. I know it rains a lot on the east coast, but everytime I have been? Yes, it's true! Except for yesterday was a very pleasant 80 degrees and we were able to enjoy sitting in Central Park, and walking the streets without carrying an umbrella, or being scortching hot!
Audrey's birthday was a couple of weeks ago, so we were able to go to the American Girl Doll Store to get Ruthie. Maggie already has Kit and she and Ruthie are best friends. Audrey was so excited! Thanks Oma and Gammie for helping Audrey and Maggie get their dolls!
We had a fabulous lunch at Serendipity 3. I had the most tasty turkey and brie sandwich and we topped it off with a hot fudge sunday and Peanut butter frozen hot chocolate which are both to die for!
Of course I had to do my turkish trading with the nigerian streets men and get myself a new coach purse!
We were exhausted by the end of the day, but left on the Staten Island ferry looking at the lights of Manhattan and hoping to reurn again soon!

I am so glad you had a good "last" trip to NYC! I am amazed at your barganing skills - cute purse!
I love nyc also... in fact, I am a little jealous of your trip and need to start planning to get back there soon. Annie Craven and I were just at the American Doll cafe/store in LA this weekend for Kaitlyn's birthday. I am so new at this American Doll stuff so Kate and I had a ball learning all about it. I even splurged on my not yet 2 year old (dumb I know) and bought her the bitsy baby... I'm sure I'll regret it when I find it in the backyard next week!!! Love the Coach purse - great accessory for Vegas.
I've never been to NYC, but am going this summer with my mom. I just can't even wait. I've already got tickets to Phantom and working on more fun stuff. I'm so excited! Would've loved to meet you there, too! Sounds like you know all the good stuff to do!
Seeing that "last" word in your title is kind of sad. But seeing your pictures makes me excited to switch places with you guys. Good luck with the move this week, and of course you'll call me when you get in town, right?
Also, I got your card today...LOVED it! Thank you!
Holly,
Congrats on a final decision. That has got to feel so good. Vegas is a fun place to live, I could imagine. We will be sure to visit if we are ever in the area. Mallory still talks about Maggie. They were good little friends. Don't worry about more school, before you know it, you will be paying off all the debt from your schooling and that's even worse. J/K Glad to hear the news. Hope you're well!
I think when I was very pregnant with Austin, my sister and myself made a trip to NYC and it was NOT raining. It did seem to rain all the time. Infact I ruined a pair of shoes because they got so wet from the rain (I still wear them today). I had to look like 10 times to see that the first few pictures of Audrey were really Audrey. She looks so different in pigtails. Her hair has really grown. She is definetly a very beautiful little girl. I am glad that you could make it to NY one more time. I am confused a little are you going to Las Vegas or CA for a year first?
Holly! I haven't checked in in a while! Will you e-mail me at ryanandstaci@yahoo.com. I rarely ever check the other one. So excited for you and your family! Isn't it great finally knowing?! Owen will be awesome--well worth the wait! Congratulations to you both! Best of luck on the move! Let us know if you'll be driving on through NM on your way out of PA! We'd love to see you!
Looked like a fun trip! Audrey is looking so grown up! Her hair has gotten so blonde! I'm jealous of the peanut butter frozen hot chocoloate from Serendipity! I remember that was so yummy when we went.
I'm going to Chicago w/ my high school friends over Labor Day weekend and I really want to go to the American Doll store there to get Ash a doll. She wants Kit and has been wanting to see the movie. Have you guys been? Have you moved yet??
Glad that you were able to get in one last trip. I will miss NYC too.
